Before many trestles were destroyed in 1972 by floodwaters from Hurricane Agnes, this was a section of PA Route 82 (Haycreek Road). The sections of PA 82 north and south of here were decommissioned in 2008 and part of its old routing in Birdsboro is now PA 345.
