The Sydney T2 Domestic terminal was formerly known as the Ansett Australia domestic terminal, up until the demise of Ansett Australia in 2002. The now defunct airline had spent millions between 1999 and 2000 refurbishing and constructing the enormous terminal in readiness for the 2000 olympics, and was designed by firm Blight, Voller Neild. Following Ansett's demise, it was sold back to Sydney Airport by Ansett's administrators and was again refitted for use by a number of operators. Today it is home to domestic airlines Virgin Blue, Regional Express (REX), Qantas Link and Jetstar who each lease gate / terminal space from Sydney Airport. A lone "All Gates this way" sign at the departures level is now the only clue to it's former occupier, although the former Ansett Golden Wing Club lounge still remains on level 2, now known only as the "Sydney Airport VIP Lounge".
