Green Square is a district in the inner-city of Sydney in the suburbs of Alexandria, Zetland, Waterloo and Beaconsfield. It is located 4kms south of the Sydney central business district and is part of the local government area of the City of Sydney.

The centre of the Green Square district is at the junction of Bourke Rd, Botany Rd and O'Riordan St. Green Square railway station on the Airport and East Hills Line is located at this junction.

The area is predominantly light industrial, with a small amount of high density residential development. The area is subject to an on-again off-again plan for urban renewal by the council of the City of Sydney. This plan projects Green Square to be home to a resident population of more than 33,000 and more than 28,000 people are expected to work in the area by 2021.
