Kadiyapatti Nagarathars built this temple under the supervision of Mr.T.S.Ramasamy Chettiar. Temple was built during the period 1924-1929.Every Nagarathar of Kadiyapatty contributed to the tune of Rs.10 lacks to built the Temple. Some one who was in charge of construction work misappropriated the money. TS family re contributed Rs.10 lacks and compleated the Temple construction.
Kanapettai village peoples gives some work for this kovil.

  • As per my knowledge Nagarathar's (I am also Nagarathar), did the renovation work & in 17-08-1893 first Kumbheshigam happened ... so the temple must be built before 1924....
