This two-story adobe building was originally built 1834-1841 to house Mexican army troops. It later was used for a variety of other functions, including as a winery, a store, a law office and a private residence.
The Sonoma Barracks are part of the Sonoma State Historical Park and now contains a number of historical displays and a gift shop.
