  • Most of the bpeople live on cultivation. Fifty percent of population belong to bpl families. There is a grampanchayat office, a mini hospital, a branch post office in this village. The village has three wards. There is a mountain on the southern boarder of jhipabandh. The poor bring sal leaves and make pali, chauti,khali etc. They sell these leave made things and earn money for their living. On foot of the moutain there is a M i p project. The mip provides water for cultivation. In the eastern side of jhipabandh there is a small river Machhakandana. Some people take bathe in it. In the month of shrabana hundreds of Bal Bom bhakta come to the village with "pabitra Baitarani water"and stay here for one night rest. Thats why the village is well known to whole Bamanghaty subdivision. There are two weekly markets on wednesday and sunday come in a week. People get various necesary things from these markets. People of the village are very simple and hardworker. They live together and believe in brotherhood.
