Camden City Hall was built in 1955. Atop the cupola is a weathervane in the likeness of "King Haiglar", a friendly Catawba chief in the mid 1700s. The Camden Fire Dept is located around back.

The City of Camden is governed by a five-member council and various committees appointed by council. The day-to-day operations of the city are run by a City Manager, also appointed by council.
