Faculty of Engineering was founded on September 2nd, 1963. The fields of study currently available at the faculty are Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, and Architectural Engineering. At this moment, graduates of this faculty are taking part in community in fields of construction, machinery, and industry. In developing knowledge and improving its quality, the Faculty of Engineering at Syiah Kuala University establishes cooperation with a number of more developed universities and institution such as Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Gajah Mada University (UGM), and 10 November Institute Of Technology (ITS) in terms of student and staff exchanges and engineering science transformation. This faculty is also very active in taking parts in technology exhibitions, engineering competitions, technology work competitions, and other events.
