This is a residential colony. The main landmark by which it is locally identified is the Gayatri Mandir or temple. Two other temples have ben subsequently added. The Sector is contained between Ch Road on one side and Jh Road on the other. Ch road leads to the State Secretariat and Jh Road to the Circuit House, the enclave containing the residences of the Goveror and Ministers, the Akshardham temple and eventually to the junction at Chiloda from where one branches off to the Rajasthan City of Udaipur. Sector 2 is on one side of Sector 1-c and sector 8 on another side.
