Administrative district (rayon) situated within the South-Eastern Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 districts of Moscow, Russia. Its area is 11.917 square kilometers (4.601 sq mi). Population: 252,597 (2017 est.); 271,915 (2023) — the most populated district of Moscow.

The area is distinguished by a modern and harmonious architectural appearance.
Residential buildings are primarily of light green, beige and pink color.
In 1996, two metro stations were opened in the district.
