Dallali Kambada Rangappa (popularly known as Hotte Rangappa)a visionary moved from Mysore (Royal Heritage city of Karnataka)due to Kalara at Mysore during 1930. Married to bridegroom and borrowed Rs.100/- from father in law & started MANDI (place where farmers are given a chance place their produce and allow the trade to take place and collect the commission )built his own empire of businesses, built number of row houses (even today these houses are ideal homes provides all utilities. A man of very high ethics, honest, hard working, worked all thr' his life from age of 16 to 78 years. He had business acumen of forecasting the future trends in agricultural & industrial products prices in the country very well. In 1940's he sitting in small sleeping town like Sira, he used to regularly invest in primary share market and could assess the trends in the Stock Exchange market and also bullion market. His investments spread to properties in the district and also Mysore. He is an achiever by honest means, helped many farmers/other business people in many ways. He had studied only up to 3rd standard. Very good in documentation of business transactions. He is known for his thrift/saving habits. He is a man of very high principles in life, to give one example is that he took his own son to court to teach him a lesson, that if you give a word someone, you must follow, irrespective of the consequences. But at the same time at home, he respected his children loved and looked after very well.
He married to three wives & his children/grand/great grand children are highly educated and living across the world. He had built two temples one in Sira town NAVAGRAHA TEMPLE, EVEN TODAY almost all visit this temple in the town and one temple GODDESS LAKSHMI at Kaggalodu village, around 12 km from Sira. We are proud to say that we are a part of him as children. ONLY ONCE IN THE HISTORY OF SIRA, ALL SHOPS WERE CLOSED VOLUNTARILY, IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR CASTE OR RELIGION IS THAT WHEN HE DIED AT THE AGE OF 83YEARS.
