Kuderu is a beautiful village in Chamarajanagar taluk of Karnataka state with unique culture of festivals, and religions. It has a population of more than 5,000 people. This village was formerly famous for Sericulture even prompting the state govt of Karnataka to establish a Sericulture training institute. People of Kuderu are polite and civilised by adopting all new invention. Kuderu has Police station, Sub-registrar office, post office, and Preprimary, primary and Sri Sangashetty High School and which were established during the period of King Sri Jayachamarajendra wodeyar with effort of Mr Saukar veeranna. Important festivals being Gowri Habba which is celebrated for 12 days by the people of Village and neighbours. Other notable one being Maari habba.
