The BRRC range sits in a box canyon just beyond the end of Paradise Ranch Road in Castaic, California. BRRC's ranges sit within canyon protected by two ridges to either side. The property contains a stand of old growth oaks along a creek bed that runs through the canyon. The area makes for excellent primitive camping. The property is full of wildlife and the club is careful to steward the land to maintain a healthy balance between habitat and fire protection. Wildlife is plentiful in the area. As of 2004, rodent and fowl populations are up supporting a healthy population of predators such as rattlesnakes that often exceed 2 1/2 feet in length. Larger predators also patrol the property including birds of prey, cats up to and including mountain lion, cayotes and black bears. Yup, it's the wilderness!
