Blomkest is a city in section 14 of Roseland Township, Kandiyohi County, Minnesota. The population was 157 at the 2010 census.

It was platted in 1926 on the Luce Line (Minnesota Western Railroad) as Kester; however, confusion with a town called Kiester in Faribault County resulted in the name Kesterville from 1928-1943. The post office began in 1928 as Blomkest, a name combining Kester with Blomquist, honoring Ole Blomquist who was one of the early settlers of the community. The village had a station of the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railroad.
