The town museum, which has nearly half of a century past is situated in the building of the former Novohrad museum. It has been open for public from august 1994 and its fundamental create collections of archeological finds from the castle, the town and its surroundimgs. To the most valuable exhibits belong period weapons and utilitarian objects from the Turkish times. Collection of the museum is completed by various period objects and tools as well as by pintings, coins, books, which are the documents of art and creative fantasy of Palóc people.
