Designed c. 1901 by L. Henry Morgan, J. Galen Howard, and D. Everett Waid for Jefferson Borden Harriman (a cousin of E. H. Harriman) and his wife Florence Jaffray (Hurst) Harriman. Gardens were designed by Guy Lowell. The estate is now on 101 acres with guesthouse and walled gardens is now called "Devonshire".
