The High Street Arcade was constructed in 1885 to the designs of T.Waring and J.P.Jones and in 1902, the Duke Street extension was added.The High Street Arcade number twenty three units provides an important east west covered link between the High Street itself and the bottom of Queen Street, the traditional prime shopping street. The Duke Street Arcade with nine units links in from Duke Street Arcade and the Castle.
