Village and resort-housing area abandoned in 1986 due to radiation from the nearby Chornobyl disaster.

Richytsia was a former village in the Ivankiv district of Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine. Until 1986, it was part of the now-defunct Chornobyl district of Kyiv Oblast. The village was officially deregistered due to the evacuation of its residents following the Chornobyl nuclear disaster.

Richytsia was located 45 km west of the city of Chornobyl and served as the administrative center of a village council that included the settlements of Buriakivka, Nova Krasnytsia, and Rudky. In the 1970s, the village had approximately 700 residents and a primary school.

In 1986, due to severe radioactive contamination, the inhabitants were relocated to villages in the Makariv district of Kyiv Oblast.
