Significant as a center of county and city government for almost 150 years, the Old Courthouse now serves as Conway City Hall. It was reputedly designed by Robert Mills who was still on the South Carolina Board of Public Works at that time.

The City of Conway operates under the Mayor/Council form of Government. Except as otherwise noted, all powers of the city and the determination of all matters of policy shall be vested in the council, with each member, including the Mayor, having one vote.

The council consists of one Mayor and six council members. Council members are elected at large and serve a four year staggered term.To email the Mayor or a council member, please send your message to council@cityofconway.com.
