One of the major discoveries of ancient Sardis is this large complex (3rd C. CE), consisting of a gymnasium, baths, synagogue, and a row of shops added later lining the street at the complex's southern edge. Part of the facade of the gymnasium has been reconstructed to the end the second story. The mosaics found on the floor of the synagogue are now housed in the archaeological museum of Manisa, near Izmir.
