Landmark on Main Street is a mixed-use community center home to various youth organizations, The Jeanne Rimsky Theater and affordable housing for senior citizens and the developmentally disabled. It was originally built c. 1908 as the Main Street Public School, serving the Port Washington area until 1985. The architect was Frank T. Cornell with Ralph Dusinberre.
Two years prior to the school's closure, it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and was subsequently designated a local and state landmark as well.
