  Served at Membedai in 1966 in Air Cottage, Shell Club,as chef to Commander Air Forces Borneo, it was a time that i will remember because of the lovely people i met there, WINIFRED CHIN Mamma, ,Armah(laundry lady) always there with a well chosen piece of advice, Djimin (waiter),small wages but big smiles and nothing too much! there was also a deaf and dumb girl who lived just around the corner from Air Cottage who tried her best to make herself understood .

  I apologise to the young girl who I described above, she did make herself understood, it was my lack of her language that made a sometimes impossible conversation turn into an hilarious laughing matter when each realised what the other meant.
