The Chowdiah Memorial Hall, an excellent venue for classical concerts, is a unique ornamental memorial to Chowdiah. This was conceived of by Sri.K.K.Murthy, former chairman of the Bangalore Develpment authority, designed by Sri S.N.Murthy and completed in1980. Shaped in the form of a violin, this hall serves
as a highly functional cultural center. It is equipped with modern equipment in sound with state-of-the art mixing consoles, echo units, sonic maximisers, amplifiers and speakers.
