Dewan Hason Raja Choudhury, most popularly known as Hason Raja, son of Dewan Ali Raja and Hurmuth Jahan Bibi was born in this house He was a great Bengali poet and singer of folk style. His songs are equally popular till today in the entire Bengali speaking population of Bangladesh and India. He was born on 21 December 1854 and died on 6 December 1922.
