An absolute gem. It is a bit off the beaten track, but Deeg has an absolutely monstrously big fortification, giant walls and moat. It also has a wondrous Maharaja's palace. In good repair and with some very good stories attached. I won't tell you, you'll have to go there and hear it yourself! I actually went to see the famous fortress at Bharatpur where the Jats told the Brits to get stuffed, and, failing to get in to the fortress, that is what they had to do. My host said nothing after Bharatpur, and we sudenly arrived and it was really well worth the visit.
