Bilangbilangan is one of the fishing islands belonging to the town of Bien Unido in the Philippines.
The blue clear waters and its elongated figure with standing coconut trees characterize this little island.

  • Bilangbilangan Island is an island very close to Hingotanan Island. It can be reached by rowing a boat for few minutes. Many young people in this island come to Hingotanan to complete their elementary education and High School. The name of the island is derived from a plant that thrives around the beaches. The plant is called "bilang". Others consider it as a kind of vegetable and others take it as a good feeding for pigs. Bilangbilangan island has a very white beach. People in Hingotanan who receive guests usually take their guests to the center part of Bilangbilangan where the beach is clean and far away from the residents. It is very relaxing to come into this area. Bilangbilangan Island is divided into two barrios or villages: Bilangbilangan Gamay (gamay, which means small) and the other side is called Bilangbilangan Dako( dako is the Cebuano term for big) There are more residents in Bilangbilangan Dako than Bilangbilangan Gamay. People in these two villages are very dependent on Hingotanan. They fetch their drinking water from Hingotanan and they take the boats from Hingotanan to commute to the town of Talibon and to the main province of Cebu which are the trading centers.
  • I LIVE IN THIS ISLAND!Bilangbilangan is just a small barrio.We have no main supply of water thats why where so very dependent to the closer place,Hingotanan...We have a shool but just good for primary pupils,so we have to enrole in other school,its Hingotanan National High School....but its a nice place,either.MABUHAY BILANGBILANGAN ISLAND.........

  • BILANGBILANGAN: an island paradise in one of the coral islands scattered in the north-eastern tip of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region. It is hardly noticeable in the map, you would not even think the island breathe life in it. Unbelievably, human habitation existed here for generations and yet they survived and carried on their lives as normally as everybody else. From then and until now, the main livelihood of its inbatitants is FISHING. The island has two barangays namely: Bilangbilangan Diyot (small) and Bilangbilangan Dako (big). The later is more populous than the other due to its bigger land area. Education is only up to primary level. Going to grades five and six, children have to go to the neighboring island, Hingotanan which has the complete facility up to high school.
  • Hi..... I'm so happy that there are people who are interested to features of our island. Im so proud to live here 'coz for me its one of the most wonderful place. I love the place so much, although i seldom go home but my heart is always in this island. Hope and pray that time comes, the island must be popular and one of the tourist spot in Bohol(malay mo di ba),that can make the "islahanun" also proud. Okay comment lang yan ha....   • hello everyone i'm from this Island too.. i really missed this Island of bilangbilangan its been a long year more or less " 3 years " i never seem or visit my wonderful and beautiful Island because i was recently working here in U.A.E United Arab of Emirates as a Waitress in a restaurant... of course i missed also my parents,family,relatives and friends..im going home soon hapit na ang fiesta thgis January see you soon bohol,its nice to be back soon,
  • I heard this island is crystal blue with white sand, I would like to explore- snorkeling & go fishing. Where's the port going to the island & how many hours by boat? The name of the boat?
