Its a small village with population of around 3000 people. It survives on the income from paddy fields, provided that there is enough water in Mettur Dam.Most of the Youngsters earn their livelihood by working in big cities and abroad. There is a renovated Lord Siva temple at the center of the village surrounded by Coconut trees. Moreover our family temple(Lord Pillaiyar) also there within the temple campus.MKJ ricemill one part of it. Apart from that there is nothing significant to talk about.May be things will change in the future.
