Qalyub (Arabic: قليوب‎) is a town in the Al Qalyubiyah governorate of Egypt, in the northern part of the Cairo metropolitan area, at the start of the Nile Delta. In 1986 its population was 84,413 and grew to 106,804 by 2006.
