OFZ, a. s. is the largest Central European manufacturer of ferroalloys. The history of the company is dated back to the year 1952, when first ferroalloys were manufactured in Slovakia. Range of ferroalloys on the basis of manganese and silicon, namely FeMnC, FeSiMn, FeSi 45%, FeSi 65% and FeSi 75%. In addition to mass ferroalloys, OFZ, a. s. also manufactures cored wires with the fillers of CaSi, S, C, CaFe, CaFeAl, Ti, FeSi. Its manufacturing program also includes by-products from furnace dust and slag - products for the building industry: Microsilica-Sioxid®, Grasimat, Simat P and Simat R.
