The Chinese Pavilion is still a landmark today. Originally entry to it was by a bridge from an adjoining tower. The interior was furnished in a Chinese style and complemented with a glass bell and Chinese porcelain figures. Aviaries were built near the pavilion.
The present form of the structure is the result of alterations carried out in the 19th century.
The building is currently undergoing renovation in a project supported by the European Union and co-financed by the municipality of Vlašim. Work will be completed in June 2008.
After the renovation the pavilion will be open to the public on a regular basis as part of a guided tour of the park.
