Tony Packo's Restaurant (Toledo, Ohio)

USA / Ohio / Harbor View / Toledo, Ohio
 restaurant, domestic dogs

Neighborhood restaurant made famous by the TV series M*A*S*H. Cpl. Maxwell Klinger (Jamie Farr, in real life a Toledo native) would frequently mention his longing for Packo's food, and it's the food that makes the place more than just a tourist stop. How good is it? You can have Tony Packo's chili or famous "Hungarian hot dogs" shipped anywhere in the world, and Packo's products are available on Amazon.com. Descendents of the family that founded the place in 1932 (with $100 borrowed from relatives) still run it today. Read the Wikipedia article for the story behind the framed and autographed hot dog buns that line the walls.

YouTube has this video of two guys eating Packo's hot dogs: it's not much, but you get a sense of the atmosphere.
