Nicopolis ad Istrum (fullstendig Ulpia Nicopolis ad Istrum) var en antikk romersk og tidlig bysantinsk by i den romerske provinsen Trakia senere nedre Moesia, grunnlagt av keiser Trajan i 102 e. Byen eksisterte fram til avarenes og slavernes invaderte området på 600-tallet. Ruinene av denne byen ligger i dag nord i Bulgaria, 18 kilometer nord for Veliko Tarnovo, 3 kilometer sørøst for landsbyen Nikjup.
