Blazer's Mill and Cemetery

Location of a gunfight between 14 Lincoln County Regulators and Andrew "Buckshot" Roberts. The battle occured toward the beginning of the Lincoln County War. The shootout led to the deaths of both Brewer and Roberts. They were buried together, in a double casket at the Blazer Cemetery, which is also at this location.

Regulators present were:

· Dick Brewer (leader of the regulators), shot in the head and killed
· Frank MacNab
· Josiah G. 'Doc' Scurlock, shot in the leg
· Billy 'the Kid' Bonney, slightly wounded in the arm
· 'Big Jim' French
· Frank Coe
· George Coe, shot in the right hand, trigger finger lost two days later
­­· Charlie Bowdre, shot in the abdomen, but belt buckle deflected bullet, dropping his gun belt to the ground
· John Middleton, shot in the chest
· Henry Brown
· Fred Waite
· Jose Chavez y Chavez
· 'Dirty Steve' Stephens
· John Scroggins

This gunfight was played out in the film Young Guns.
