The Commons is UB's campus shopping mall, complete with stores, restaurants, and an outdoor garden and water fountain—a great place to sit and enjoy beautiful days! The Commons also houses the Center of Excellence for Document Analysis and Recognition (CEDAR), an independently sponsored research department responsible for a host of breakthroughs in electronic document technology. Some of the restaurants there are Subway Sandwiches, Starbucks Coffee, Dairy Queen, Burger King, Sharro, Campus Cafe, Korean Express, Young Chow and Campus Pizza & Italian Specs.
