495-foot, 36-story International-style office building completed in 1971. Designed by Emery Roth & Sons, it is a typical rectangular monolith, with a curtain wall of dark-grey metal divided into bays of four dark-tinted windows each. There are seven bays of the wider facades, and four bays on the wider ones. The center three windows of each bay are connected, while thin, grooved mullions that run up the facade separate the outer windows in each bay. A 2-story black metal-paneled sheathing at the top conceals the mechanical floors. Small plazas are set on both the west and east sides of the building. The ground floor has a Starbucks coffee at the southwest corner, and an entrance to the an underground parking garage on the south elevation, off of Pearl Street. Now managed by Rudin Management Company, its major tenant is Hughes Hubbard & Reed and Stewart & Kissel law firms.
