Boston's main commercial classical music station; found at 99.5 FM. WCRB broadcasted on 102.5 from Waltham for decades but swapped frequencies and transmitters with WKLB (a country station) on 12/1/2006. Originally this was the transmitter for WLLH-FM from 1948 to 1971 (it simulcast WLLH-AM during this time). From 1971-1996 it was WSSH, one of the main "beautiful music" stations in the Boston area for decades. Had a short period as WOAZ (smooth jazz) from 1995-1997. Sometime in the 90's the original free-standing tower was replaced with the current guyed tower.
