This is the approximate site of the Eastern Dock of the London Docks (as they were known) The London Docks specialised in luxury goods such as Ivory, spices, coffee and cocoa as well as wine and wool. The "Eastern Dock" specialised in the receipt of Oils, Rum and sugar. It is connected to its sister dock the "Western Dock" via an intermediate dock called "Tobacco Dock"
