  • Yeah... Kowda Maajo was the first school I started from my educational career at the age of only five years. To remember this good era and see this set. image makes me always very sad. I was 8th class when the civil war broke out. I missed all my classmates. Those I still remember are: Two bro Nuska & Yasin, Siciid Okiyale, Yasin Gaab, C/lahi Cusbo, Maxamuud Talyani, Bikolo, Faysal Bidar, Ayan C/lahi Yasin, Three Sisters Cibaado, Khadijo and Imaan Mohamed Cali, Farhiyo C/raxman Xusen, Amaal, Mustaf, Shanbaldi and her young bro, Ladan saalax, C/lahi gaab, and many many more that I can't remember now. All these were funny and fantastic friends difficult to forget. Many of these friends Including me were part of last school committee. Hello guys how ya doing?   • I've heard some people say this school is operative still but is now called Imamu Shafi. And that there's another one with the same name closer to nr. 4. Somebody who knows whether that is right?

  • I started my career i this school and especially this was my xaafad and the front ground was my where my football got matured ,both grounds of ida maajo and sheekh madar was courts that i played daily not to forget the basketball court of sheikh madar were we played basket and indoor football, waxaan deganaa just few houses from the school and this was my xaafad, sadly left in 1987 for good ,by by xamar and somalia now iam singing hello burao and somaliland but not to foregt we still have our house occupied by one hawiye illegally perhaps.
  • I went to Sheikh Madar school right next door to 1da Maajo and my father was pharmacy owner in African Village. I miss my old neighborhood and all my friends. Same as Hassan Baarud. I started playing football on those grounds and basketball court of Sheekh Madar. Wow it has been over 20 years since I was there.
