administrative building, courthouse, interesting place, town hall
Designed by William Lawrence Bottomley in 1912 as originally Southampton High School. The school building is Georgian Revival in style, combining a three-story pedimented center block beneath a slate-covered hipped roof with side wings of two stories featuring grouped windows and half-circular attic dormers. A tall cupola crowns the central block. The auditorium was added in 1926 to designs by William A. LaFon, Jr.
Today the school is adaptively reused as the Southampton Town Hall.
