People were evacuated in 1986 due to the Chornobyl disaster.

Usiv is an abandoned village in Ukraine, located 11 km from the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and 25 km from the former district center, the city of Chornobyl. It was situated on the left bank of the Prypiat River (in its floodplain) in the Ivankiv district of Kyiv Oblast. Before 1986, it was part of the Chornobyl district.

The exact date of the village's founding is unknown.

From the 1960s to the 1980s, Usiv was administratively subordinate to the Novoshepelychi Village Council. Before the Chornobyl disaster, the village had a population of 159 residents and 76 households.

Following the accident on April 26, 1986, Usiv was evacuated due to severe contamination, and its residents were relocated to the villages of Rudnytske and Lukashi in the Baryshivka district. The village was officially removed from records in 1999.
