Malakoff Tower is a guard tower in Cologne, Germany. It was part of the Prussian defences in Cologne. It was built in 1855 and named after Malakoff Fort in Sewastopol (to-day's Ukraine) in memory of Crimean War. In 1898, the electro-hydraulic slewing gear for the swing bridge is installed in the tower.
