Querim Beach

India / Goa / Pernem /

The northernmost and one of the most beautiful beaches of Goa with tall pine trees lined up all along the beach.
The best and most serene beach without a concrete jungle of houses up till 300 meters or more. Houses here are away from coastline and you can easily prove that they are 200- 300 years old houses there, except for one Ajoba Temple which is very very ancestorial since time unknown.

Please note that the river Querim Terekhol flows adjacent to the Arabian sea. A visit is a must.

  • The beach is opposite Tiracol Fort and the water lobby formed by Tiracol river meeting the Arabian Sea divides the two. There is a ferry to visit the fort. Beautiful picturesque spot. The fort is now converted to a Hotel run by the Tourism department of Goa. In the season it is fully booked. So requires many days ahead for booking here. In the evenings the fishing boats line up to go into the sea at about 6.00pm. A scene worth looking at. They return the next day between 5.00am to 6.30am. A place worth visiting. This is at the northern most tip of Goa state. Maharashtra border is hardly 1.7 kms.
