This place have got a historical rest area called "Thanneerpanthal" which was providing cold drinking water and small but very comfort shelter to take a nap for long distance walking travelers as well as load carriers. Refreshment facilities was also given free of charges by nearby living rich landlords,This was a common (but now fast disappearnig) sight througout Kerala. But there is no visible sign of a "Thannerpanthal". Still its touching and will take you to your past for a while.
