Capra (Goat) Chalet is located at an altitude of 1585 m, on Trasfăgărăşan lane at 74 km from the city Curtea de Arges, also known as the Goat Creek Chalet.
Located on Transfăgărăşan, Cabana Capra was one of the hunting lodges of the dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. Here, the famous dictator came to hunt chamois.
Winter access to the Cabana Capra becomes extremely difficult.
From Capra Chalet are available the two highest peaks of the Fagaras massif: Moldoveanu and Negoiu. From here also you can go on trips on several routes in Fagaras: Goat Lake, Balea Lake, Fereastra Zmeilor.
