The Robinson Surgery Center opened in June 1997, with the goal of providing a unique outpatient surgical experience for our patients. A team of specialty physicians, supported by experienced nursing and technical staff, play an integral role in each patient's surgical process. They serve as a surgical team dedicated exclusively to the care of our patients. Our nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to assure you of high quality expert nursing care.

The Robinson Surgery Center is the only outpatient surgery center in Portage County backed by the full services of a hospital. The facility has four operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms, pre- and post-operative rooms and a discharge area.

At the Robinson Surgery Center, the benefits of an outpatient surgery center becomes evident from the time surgery is scheduled through the follow-up the day after. This very personalized experience focuses on the needs and comforts of our patients to ensure their surgery experience is the best it can be. In addition to a more personalized environment, the cost of surgery is lower than if performed in a hospital. The environment itself feels more like home, allowing everyone to feel more relaxed. It also provides easier access to the facility, a comfortable waiting room, a child's play area and is handicap accessible throughout.

With the availability of this facility residents are provided with a choice of going to Kent or to Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna for outpatient surgery. Most operative procedures that do not require an overnight stay can be performed at the Robinson Surgery Center.
