A sitio of land located in DeWitt Colony, granted by Mexico to Lt. Thomas Jackson of the Immortal Thirty-two who gave their lives in defending the Alamo, 6 March 1836.
He was also one of the Old Eighteen who fired the cannon in the first shot for Texas Independence from Mexico; now of "Come & Take It" fame.
