55 ac. hydroponic greenhouse producing over 9,200,000 kgs. of tomatoes annually. A subsidiary of Michigan based Soave Enterprises, Great Northern Hydroponics is the only greenhouse in North America to attain ISO 9001-2000 status.

It was also the first in North America to install an energy efficient tri co-generation power plant which utilizes the CO2 and heat by products generated by the burning of natural gas to produce electricity. The heat is used to heat the greenhouses and the CO2 increases plant growth. As well as reducing the cost of energy to the greenhouse, electricity from the 12 MW plant, which is capable of producing enough power to satisfy the needs of 12,000 to 15,000 homes, is sold to the Ontario Power Authority.

In 2011 an additional 13 acres of greenhouses were added increasing the total area of greenhouses to 68 acs.
