Regio VI occupies the north west corner of Pompeii, bounded to the south by the Via della Fortuna Augusta and to the east by the Via Stabiana.

The regio is made up of 17 insulae as shown in the graphic below. Of these, insulae 1,2, 7-9, 10-12 and 15-17 contain properties that are examined here in more detail. (Insula 17 is the northern half of what is known as the 'Insula Occendentalis'). The area is a general mix of properties, with the shops lining the streets while the houses occupy the interior of the insulae.
