This ruined mosque was built by Qutub-ud-din Aibak in 1192, but with various additions by his successors. This first mosque built in India, remained the main mosque in Delhi until 1360.

  • It was first a Jain temple complex before it was converted to mosque. but sadly there is not a single word written for it.
  • this mosque was the first build by muslim invaders in ndia . 27 temples were razed to build this building and the stones of those 27 temples were used to build this. even today u can find stone curved statues of hindu gods on the wall of this so called mosque .
