    HBC's acquisition of Simpsons didn't result in the discontinuation of the Simpsons brand, just the end of the Simpsons-Sears partnership. HBC didn't rebrand its Simpsons stores into The Bay until 1991. This particular store doubled as the set for the 80s TVO children's series "Today's Special."
